Ali’s melodious and hypnotizing voice will leave you under a spell - transcending all borders - of the world - and genres of music. Ali Sethi and Shae Gill’s ‘Pasoori’ was streamed a record number of times around the world in 2022, and we’re not surprised as to why. Ali Sethi stays on our daily playlists at Kahani!

Diljit Dosanjh

Actor, singer, songwriter, what can’t Diljit Dosanjh do?! From Punjab, India, Diljit’s music is catchy, soulful, and filled with culture.

Jai Paul

Born in London, Jai Paul is a songwriter, record producer, and recording artist of Indian descent. Best known for BTSTU, Straight Outta Mumbai, and Jasmine, Jai Paul’s music is unconventional and has shaped the music we hear today - including artists like Mura Masa. Interestingly enough, the demo recording of BTSTU was hosted at his MySpace page, garnering a wide amount of blog and internet attention in 2007. Never listened to Straight Outta Mumbai?! What are you doing!?

Jai Wolf

Born in Bangladesh, Jai Wolf immigrated to the United States a year after he was born. Jai Wolf is a well known name within the Electronic Music genre - with singles “Indian Summer”, “Like It’s Over”, and “Strailight” and the album “The Cure to Loneliness”, Jai Wolf has certainly made a name for himself. This last year, he was the first Bangladeshi artist to sell out at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.

Joy Crookes

Hailing from London, Joy Crookes, who is half Bangladeshi, has a voice frequently compared to that of Amy Winehouse’s. However, if you ask her, she’ll tell you both of them are heavily influenced by black jazz artists, giving credit where credit is due. If you are into soulful, jazzy RnB, give Joy Crookes a listen. Joy’s warm voice and lovely lyrics are bound to put you in a mood.
