Hani's March - May Book Recap

This last quarter was awful when it came to me reading. It was a combination of me being too busy, as well as in a bit of a reading slump. The usual places I would read in - flights or at night were taken over by me catching up on sleep or working so hence this list is quite short compared to the earlier months. I am hoping to catch back up to my goal of 52 books for this year during the summer as I travel and go on vacation. Here is what I read in no particular order:

‘In Five Years’ by Rebecca Serle

This I read on a flight to Atlanta and was so so good and unexpected. Absolutely a five star read and an easy one at that, my flight was less than 2 hours long and I was able to start and finish this book. This was a love story with just some unexpected twists.

‘The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle’ by Stuart Turton

This one took me a while because while the story was good, it was extremely confusing and there were a ton of characters to keep up with so I constantly had to go back and reread. Would I read it again? Probably but it just took a while. This was a murder mystery kind of historical fiction with a fantasy element to it.

‘The Guest List’ by Lucy Foley

This also was an easy murder mystery read about a wedding happening on a deserted island and goes between flashbacks and actual time period. There aren't too many characters to keep up with so it was easy to follow honestly.

Before We Were Innocent by Ella Berman

This was a boring one to read honestly, it was about something that transpired on a vacation with 3 best friends. If I am being honest, I don't even remember the plot because thats how bad it was unfortunately.

To keep up with what's on my list and what I am reading, follow me on good reads here!

Happy Reading!
